DIDJ Hacking

As seen on Hackaday, Woot is/was selling the Leapfrog DIDJ, which seems very hackable into a $25 portable linux machine.

I purchased two of them today, and plan on detailing my hack progress here, and I would love to hear how many of you purchased one, and what progress you have made.

Definitely check out Claude Schwarz's guide, and hopefully we can get a hold of some useful schematics and guides to get a dev environment going.

Re: DIDJ Hacking

I bought one. Playing the waiting game.

I'm alright with a soldering iron, but if I have to do anything with SMD I will probably ruin it...

I'm also a developer (C#, used to do C++ forever ago).

I'd love to see some emulator ports (and wouldn't mind helping if able), mainly NES/GB/Atari (800/5200). :D

Re: DIDJ Hacking

I will be putting up Claudes SD card board Gerbers onto BATCH PCB over the weekend. I then plan on ordering 2 boards. Anyone else interested?

Re: DIDJ Hacking

Claude a question for you on the design of your cartridge.
Did you design the card to stick out so far simply so you would have easy access to the testpoints (pins) on the side?
If you had wanted to leave off the side pins, would there have been room enough to have the memory card and inside the slot on the didj entirely?
